If you want to make a website of your own I highly recommend using a pre-made layout and messing up with it. I personnaly used this one !

To code I use Brackets, which allows you to view your code live. It's free and open-source.

When encountering difficulties with code I recommend googling the function you have a problem with and click on either W3school's result or developer mozilla's result. They both have live code you can modify and understand easily, I highly recommend their websites.


This page by goblin-heart.net, leads to a very neat Neocities tutorial to start with your account. I highly recommend this blog for starting out!

To make my pixel art, I use photohop, but I heard good things about Aesprite, and its open-source and free counterpart, LibreSprite.
